Having seen the Marca survey about who Real Madrid fans want next, I'm worried about Gerrard's future. This just smacks of another Ronaldo saga. I feel that the loss of Gerrard, despite his below par season, will be detrimental to the club, more so than Makele from Real, Alonso from Liverpool, Ronaldo etc. Gerrard is the figure that represents Liverpool for me and for many fans, I'm sure for the players too, him and Carra are the pinacle of the club as senior figures. Do you think he will want to stay, or will he go to Real for the glory he truly deserves?

Barcelona needs a left back and a left sided striker with real pace. In the big games they really missed what Henry did against Bayern and Madrid. The diagonal run off the left wing destroyed teams that pushed up to try and squeeze the Barcelona’s midfield. Not another striker or midfielder no matter how good they are

People talk about the names to replace Benitez such as hodgson, O'neil, Mark hughes , however for me theses guys are not a patch on Benitez and would not take the club forward...and i can honestly say this that idf they appoint mark hughes my support for liverpool will be over.sorry but if he ain't good enough for man city he defineately is not good enough for Liverpool plus Man utd link..Just can't happen. Hi Guillem i hope you read this and share this with RAFA because to me he is a legend and i will be following his career with great interest from now on...YNWA...Fellow reds i forsee a difficult time ahead, however i'm sure the club will rise again with owners and players who will die for club anbd not jump ship during bad times..

Something major is wrong...I have seen a different side to certain players at the club such as Torres...who Liverpool took a risk on when no-one else had the belief he could make it in english football..all of a sudden after 1 bad season he is ready to jump ship/stab benitez in the back...sad i have lostrespect for Torres and hope that he is sold ASAP...Liverpool need players with character and commitment to move forward and with players like torres, benayoun, mascherano this isn't going to happen. other players who disappoint me is gerrard and carragher they have been a disgrace in there attitude towards benitez which has led to the media constantly criticising him..not once have they come out and defended benitez...anyway..con't

  Hi Guillem
I am disappointed and sad to see Benitez leave Liverpool as i honestly feel he is defineately in the top 5 managers in the world. The british media responce and attitude to Benitez has been nothing short of a disgrace and they are now happy that he has gone. I have supported Liverpool for over 20 years and during rafa's reign the man has been a genius to achieve what he has on a limited budget. The sad thing out of all of this is that only one player has spoken out about their disappointment of Rafa leaving and thats Pepe Reina.....Rafa deserved another season at least to rebuild the team, however according to the british media it was player power that led to the board parting ways with Benitez...CON'T

  Hi,

Is it possible for Barcelona to sign both Torres and Fabregas? Could a deal be done where Ibrahimovich goes to Liverpool in exchange for Torres, especially as it seems increasingly likely that Fabregas will be a Barca player in days?

  Hi Guillem,

Long time reader, first time poster. What is your understanding of the events that have lead to Rafa Benitez departure from Liverpool FC? Does the Liverpool board already have a new manager lined up already?

And you mention that Fernando Torres would consider a move to Chelsea, why is that? From what I've read about him he has a lot of love and respect for Liverpool, would he dare move to a direct rival in the EPL?

Regards,

Concerned Liverpool Fan AU
